Recently, Chevy engineers have been working on a special project to see how much power they can give the Chevy Silverado. This project is known as the Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE) Yenko S/C Silverado. CarBuzz tells us, “SVE has dropped a centrifugal supercharger with air-to-water intercooling on top of a handbuilt 6.2-liter V8 engine which features forged internals and CNC-ported heads. The supercharger has been modified with a planetary reduction instead of helical gears which means no power is lost when the engine is off boost. Handling all that power is an upgraded transmission with stronger clutch packs and a beefy torque converter. Total power output is a ridiculous 800 hp and 720 lb-ft of torque.”
In addition to the great engine, there will be other features with the Silverado to improve performance. One of these features is the large 16.1-inch Brembo brakes. Another great feature is the 22-inch SVE wheels.
